DEdPsy, PGCE, C.Psychol BPsS Having worked as a primary school teacher in a mainstream school, I completed my professional training in Educational Psychology in 1996 and since that time have enjoyed a varied career working in a range of settings including Local Authority EP Services, universities and for for independent clients through my private practice. |
Central to my work is the well-being of the child/young person. My approach is holistic; through consultation and assessment I aim to understand the needs of the individual within the context of their families and educational settings, and to identify practical, supportive and evidence-based ways forward that help remove barriers to their learning and participation. I have a particular interest in communication and the learning environment and am a trainee supervisor in Video Interaction Guidance.
I am a Chartered Educational Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a practitioner psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
